Read what happens when you take your phone to the Toilet.

Sometimes we all take a phone into the toilet. But it is a very dangerous habit!
You can expose yourself and others to germs like salmonella, E. Coli and C. “If you wipe your bum then pick up your phone, you may as well not bother washing your hands because all the bacteria you put on your phone will end up back on your hands,” hygiene expert Dr. Lisa Ackerley told. So what we all should do? Dr. Ron Cutler, director of biomedical science degrees at Queen Mary’s University London, said: “Basically, you just shouldn’t (take your phone into the toilet) if you are at all concerned about the transfer of viruses and fecal contamination.”

He said that levels of contamination vary widely depending on where the toilet is.
A small office may not be a problem, but a hospital or a cruise ship where viruses may be circulating are different.

Remember, viruses transfer not only by hands. It is the main way, but not the only one. “Spray could travel around six feet from the flush,” Dr. Ackerley said. That’s why you shouldn’t leave your toothbrush close to the toilet and put your phone down on the toilet roll holder or any shelf that might be there.

By the way, germs could survive up to a couple of days on your phone! “Phones heat up a little bit giving bacteria a nice warm environment,” Dr. Ron Cutler said. “If people handle sweets and leave a sticky coating on the phone, that’s an even better place for bacteria.” So don’t forget to wash your hands with soap and water and leave the phone in your bag before visiting the toilet!

What causes Acne?

Does this scenario sound familiar? Before bed, you remove your makeup, cleanse your face, apply your skincare regimen of serums, toners, and creams, and snuggle up between the sheets to get your 8 hours (if you’re lucky) of precious beauty sleep. The next morning, you hop out of bed to discover the beginnings of a monster zit. What gives? How did that sucker pop up? It wasn’t there the night before!
Dealing with unsightly blemishes is frustrating. Irritations are hard to cover, and you end up going through your day feeling self conscious, wondering if everyone is staring at the angry pore on your face. Truly, acne can wreak havoc on even the most confident individual’s self esteem. But the first step to dealing with a problem is understanding its underlying causes.

I’m here to debunk common myths about what causes blemishes, discover where whiteheads come from, and provide tips on acne solutions.

A Hairy Situation
Acne is actually a common disease of the hair follicles of the face (or chest, back, other affected body part). There is no single cause; hence, there is no universal solution. Acne can present itself as red, irritated zits, occluded pores (also referred to as “comedones,” hence many beauty products listing the claim “noncomedogenic” on their labels), cysts, or even boils.
Common Causes
Acne’s causes–like the individual it affects–differ depending on the case. I’ve outlined some of the most common culprits:
Hormones–This is the biggest offender! During puberty (and sometimes later in your twenties) your body is producing hormones known as androgens. These hormones activate your oil glands and cause them to swell to a larger size. This is true of both sexes, but especially true for ladies dealing with their monthly cycles. (That’s often why women get large zits during menstruation. Talk about a raw deal!)
How do you determine if your acne is hormonal? Most dermatologists advise you to look toward the location of your blemishes. If the breakouts mainly appear around the lower half of your face, the chin, jawline, and mouth, it’s probably a hormonal issue. Women are more likely than men to suffer from adult, hormonal acne. And the solutions can include salicylic acid treatments, retinol, and/or birth control.
Genetics — Many experts agree that their is a hereditary component to acne. Take a good look at one (or both) of your parents, and chances are, you have similar skin issues. Knowing this can alleviate feelings of embarrassment or guilt. Breakouts aren’t your fault; they happen to the best of us.
Bacteria— Although bacteria doesn’t necessarily cause breakouts by itself (everyone has it, and some of the bacteria is good), a clogged pore with an overproduction of sebum can cause buildup and blemishes. Therefore, it’s more important to deal with the clogged pores. Then, the bacteria will sort itself out.

All the harsh disinfectants in the world won’t work if your pores are backed up. Ask your dermatologist about the aforementioned treatments, try exfoliation, and consider natural solutions like tea tree oil.

Irritating makeup — This one is true for most women, whether they’ll admit it or not. Therefore, try to purchase hypoallergenic brands.
So what do you say readers? What’s your acne story… and what treatments help you keep your blemishes at bay? Sound off in the comments.

POSITIVES AND NEGATIVES IF USING EYEGLASSES

I am someone who wears glasses everyday, and only wear contacts for special occasions.
I have a lot of positives and negatives! So if you are someone who wishes they could wear glasses, this is why you might not, and also might want to!
It can be hard and  very annoying at times, I wish that one day I could wake up and have perfect eyesight. But that would take a miracle! So for now, I love my glasses, and I love wearing them.

Positives of wearing glasses
~ You can see.
~You can get lots of pretty frames that can make you look super stylish.
~Easier to wear than contact lenses.
~If you’re having a bad make up day, glasses can hide it a little bit.
~Makes you look smart, clever, sophisticated.
~Compliments, a lot of people wish they could wear glasses, for some reason. So you will get the occasional " I love your frames are they recommended"? “I like your glasses, they suit you” .
~Hearing “You look pretty in glasses, you should wear them more”
~So easy and comfortable to wear.
~You don't get itchy, or watery eyes, like you do with contacts.
~If you drop your glasses on the floor, you will be able to find, them, drop a contact lens and its gone.
~Prescription glasses are more suited to your eyesight than contact lenses.

Cons of wearing glasses
~If it is raining – your glasses also get covered in rain.
~ Kids like to touch and take of your glasses – Leading to cleaning them every time.
~Even if you need the toilet at night, you need to put them on.
~Not all hair styles look good with glasses.
~You can spend ages doing your eye make up, but no one is going to see it in full detail due to the shadow caused by your glasses.
~People asking to try on your glasses, then saying “wow you’re so blind” " How do you see?– thanks.
~When you get new glasses, they rub behind your ears for what seems like forever.
~Forgetting you are wearing glasses and trying to lie down.
~Trying to look closely out of a window and hitting your glasses, because you forget how big they are.
~Getting your hair stuck in the hinges.
~Being over protective, flinching when someone comes near your face.
~When you take of your glasses, people are surprised how different you look.
Reflections when taking pictures.
~When you drink tea, your glasses steam up.
~When you move from cold building to a warm building, your glasses steam up.

Voilà. ..
If you have any other pros of cons, then please comment below.

HOMEMADE REMEDY TO REJUVENATE YOUR CHAPPED LIPS

Here are some homemade tips on how to rejuvenate your chapped or cracked lips.
We have seen so many products that ‘claim’ to be the best in saving your lips and in Reality, they are full of ingredients you probably don’t even know, have loads of chemicals, or in fact produced to make your lips worse so that you will continue using their product..
Some products that you can buy which are very helpful are;

Petroleum jelly/Vaseline… Its highly moisturizing, doesn’t contain as many harsh chemicals as other lip products.
Cocoa butter – Also very moisturizing, they make a great lip balm.
Home Made Lip Scrub
If you love to get creative like me, or none of the above works for you, then why not try to make your own!!!
What You will need:
~ A small plastic container (so you can store it, only for a few days, a week maximum)
~ Honey -smells and tastes nice (you could lick it off and eat it. It is also very sticky, so the dead skin that is being rubbed off will stay off!
~ Sugar –  preferably brown, doesn’t dissolve easily, it lasts longer, tastes better (this is what I think, no scientific fact here).
~ Cinnamon – Is known to be able to plumps lips, also makes it smell nicer, finer scrub than sugar.
~ Coconut oil – I just love coconut oil, and it can be used for almost everything, so why not throw that in there! It can make it easier to apply.

Then all you need to do is use your finger to scrub off the dead skin, then remove with warm water.
Once this is done be sure to apply Vaseline (or likewise product).

You are now on your way to having a smile that doesn’t hurt! Congratulations!
